In Howl's Moving Castle, Strangia is about to declare war on Ingary. In Castle in the Air, Ingary has just won the war, and Prince Justin of Ingary is expected to marry [Princess Beatrice]? of Strangia.

Strangia itself remains offstage in both books, and the only Strangians who appear are Princess Beatrice and a Strangian soldier.
